Established in 2023, Lume is the brainchild of two Nigerian sisters, Oluwatoyosi and Oluwafisayomi Olumekun. It is a women-led organization committed to making beautiful clothing that allows women present their most empowered and confident selves. Lume is rooted in ethical and sustainable production, having as little of an environmental impact as possible. We prioritize creating high quality garments with a blend of traditional and contemporary silhouettes and design elements that elevate our pieces and make them stand out. At Lume, elegance and simplicity have a symbiotic relationship with boldness and edginess in a way the modern woman can appreciate. We source all our materials locally and work with local artisans. A part of Lume’s vision is to create a brand that positively contributes to the Nigerian fashion industry and economy at large.
